Vendor Diversity

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting champions the mission to support businesses that meet our diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.   In addition to making changes within our own company to live up to this mission, we support other companies with similar DEI values to strengthen the communities we serve.

We conducted a survey of current vendors to see how many organizations are Minority Owned Enterprise, Women Business Enterprise, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, and Veteran Owned Business.  In addition, we asked about our vendors’ policies regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts such as: contracts with vendor firms that qualify for DEI certifications; search and hiring of minority, woman, veteran, or disadvantaged candidates; internship and apprentice programs; and their specific DEI policies. The work to survey our current vendors is ongoing so we can gather enough responses to accurately assess our current relationships.

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting wants to work with vendors in our region that align with our commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion.  We believe that shared commitments and values make a powerful partnership.
