Keeping our workplace Safe

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting COVID-19 Safety Policies

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation (“PCBC”) is committed to the health and safety of our staff and their families.  To keep our staff and their families as safe as possible, PCBC established remote operations on March 12, 2020. PCBC has implemented the following measures:

  1. In September 2021, Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation instituted a policy mandating COVID-19 vaccination and any and all subsequent boosters as recommended by the CDC, as a condition of employment.

  2. All employees who have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 or exhibit symptoms are required to notify PCBC and to follow all CDC guidelines.

  3. Employees must stay home when sick.

  4. Cleaning protocols have been maintained throughout the building. Additionally, high-touch areas are being routinely sanitized in accordance with CDC guidelines.

  5. The use of facemasks by staff at the Community Broadcast Center is optional and at the discretion of each individual employee. People should still wear face coverings if they wish, or if they are personally at high risk.

  6. PCBC has provided hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes, as well as soap and water to wash hands.

  7. All employees are required to adhere to the CDC guidelines for hygiene and social distancing.

To contain the spread of COVID-19, the following should be adhered to:

• Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other individuals;

• Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as frequently as possible, or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available;

• Cover coughs or sneezes with a sleeve or elbow, not hands. Do not shake hands.

• Regularly clean high-contact surfaces areas;

• Stay at home when sick
