Our Service

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation serves the more than 2 million residents of Pittsburgh and its surrounding communities by leveraging the power of media to inform, inspire, and entertain. We engage audiences and cultivate conversations that strengthen, enrich and improve the communities we serve.


  • Position Overview:
    The program is somewhat structured, but flexible based on students’ schedules and desired learning opportunities. This intern will contribute the efforts toward daily in a live, one-hour show weekday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. The internship also includes training sessions and mentorship by Confluence reporters, hosts, and editors.
  • Position Overview:
    Primary duties include story research, field reporting, multimedia projects (including photography and video), and writing and producing stories for broadcast and web. We also offer opportunities to help work on the production of on-air shows, including The Confluence.

    Intern will work with WYEP's digital team to help develop and execute strategies and tactics to grow audience across our digital platforms.

    Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and available to work at least 10-20 hours per week.
